The chassis

According to regulations, go-kart frames are not allowed to have suspensions. It is for this reason that one is always designing new frame shapes, experimenting with new more flexible or more rigid steel alloys.
The ideal material for karts is a molybdenum chromium steel, with high yielding point, which has the characteristics of strength and flexibility. The regulations require tubes in magnetic materials therefore aluminium or carbon alloys are not plausible. The soldering of the frame is done manually using a flux-soldering system (MIG), then each frame is checked over to ensure the optimum quality of the soldering. The frame then enters the spray-paint process and is checked over once again, in special masks, before the final assembly phase.
